Six hundred and fifty-three episodes sit on the Naver Webtoon page for Tower of God (์ ์ ํ). The series opened with a teaser on June 30, 2010, held the Monday slot from then on, and is written and drawn by one person, SIU. The story follows Baam, a boy who walks into the Tower after Rachel, the girl who was his entire world, and the Tower that tests him floor by floor. Serialization has been split into parts: Part 1 closed on January 2, 2012 with an episode titled simply โPart 1 finale,โ Part 2 opened with a prologue later that same month and ran to its 337th episode on January 20, 2019, and Part 3 began on March 10, 2019.
Part 3 has been sitting still since episode 235, posted on February 2, 2025. Nothing has gone up since, and the Naver Webtoon listing marks the series as on hiatus. The English edition tells the same story: the newest installment on WEBTOON is โ[Season 3] Ep. 235 (Season 3 Finale),โ dated February 23, 2025. The numbers built up over fifteen years are still there. On Naver Webtoon 1.89 million readers keep the series in their favorites, the English edition shows 4.2 million subscribers against 1.3 billion views, and in April 2025 Naver Webtoon put worldwide cumulative views at 5 billion.
The gap left by the main series was filled by a spin-off. Tower of God: Urek Mazino went live at 10 p.m. on April 28, 2025, the first side story in fifteen years of serialization. Urek Mazino appears in the main series as one of the strongest figures in the Tower, and the spin-off goes back to why he started climbing in the first place: he was looking for Phantaminum, who sits at the top of the Towerโs rankings. It updates on Tuesdays and had reached 58 episodes in English by August 2026, with 152,585 subscribers and 6.2 million views, a different order of magnitude from the main title.
Two anime seasons exist. Season 1 ran 13 episodes from April 1 to June 24, 2020, animated by Telecom Animation Film. Season 2 moved to The Answer Studio and ran 26 episodes from July 7 to December 29, 2024, broadcast in two blocks: Return of the Prince from July 7 to September 29, and Workshop Battle from October 6 to December 29. As of August 2026 no third season has been announced.
The English edition is on WEBTOON from episode one, and the Korean original is on Naver Webtoon and Naver Series. A 653-episode backlog sounds like a wall, but this is an unusually forgiving moment to start: with the main series paused there is no weekly episode to keep up with, and once you reach the end of Part 3 the spin-off is waiting every Tuesday. Each floor of the Tower brings its own test, so the plot rarely idles. If you like a story you can live inside for months, it fits. (As of August 21, 2026)
