A newly built 1LDK apartment for 4,800 yen a month. That is the deal Kori Momose finds when she looks for a place after transferring schools. The rent is that low because the flat comes with Mu, the ghost of a Shiba Inu who refuses to leave, and Kori, who has a high tolerance for anything horror-shaped, moves in anyway. It is a cohabitation comedy about a cool, slightly awkward high school girl and a stubborn dog ghost.
Esu Omori published the story as a one-shot on Shonen Jump+ in July 2023. It did well enough that on 27 June 2024 it came back as a series, with the one-shot reposted as chapter 1 and a new chapter 2 attached. Chapters go up every other Thursday, and volume 8 came out in Japan on 4 August 2026. In the Next Manga Award 2025 it finished fourth in the web manga division.
VIZ Media publishes the English edition under its Shonen Jump imprint. Volume 1 came out on 1 September at 216 pages, carries a series debut label on VIZ's series page, and volume 2 is up for pre-order. The blurb says every attempt Kori makes to live with Mu goes sideways, until she learns there is a deeper reason he keeps pushing her away. The ongoing chapters are on MANGA Plus and on VIZ's Shonen Jump page in English.
In Korea, Haksan publishes it as ์๋ฐ ๋ถ์ ์ํํธ, with volume 1 released on 25 November 2025. In the latest Japanese volume, number 8, a strange butterfly turns up in the room and Kori and Mu swap bodies.
