Far enough ahead of us that bounty hunters roam the solar system, catching people with a price on their heads is one way to make rent. Cowboy Bebop follows two men who do that work as partners, Spike Spiegel and Jet Black.
The bounty money is what keeps them going, and it is never quite enough. Travelling keeps putting them in the way of other people. Faye Valentine, a gambler who is almost always short of money, and Edward Wong Hau Pepelu Tivrusky IV, who handles computers the way other people handle conversation, are two of them. The series is filed under action, adventure, drama and science fiction, and it lets each of the four take the lead in turn.
Sunrise made 26 episodes, broadcast between 3 April 1998 and 24 April 1999. Yoko Kanno wrote the music, including the composition and the arrangement of the opening theme and the three closing themes. It currently streams on Netflix, Crunchyroll, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, Tubi TV and Adult Swim.
