Inako Momokawa is fifteen, the second daughter of a sake brewing family in Fushimi, and nothing she attempts lands the way she means it to. Her fatherโs scolding has become a daily fixture, and the faith she puts in her prayers is the one thing that lets her set that weight down.
The series opens in the summer of 1907, the fortieth year of Meiji, and the story turns when she runs into a free-spirited young man at Fushimi Inari. Its Japanese title translates roughly as a twentieth century catalogue of electrical things. Adventure and romance are the registers it plays in. Thirteen episodes are planned, and it has been airing since July 5.
Kyoto Animation is producing. Tatsuhiko Urahata handles series composition, Kazumi Ikeda is credited with the original character designs, and Kouhei Okamura takes character design along with chief animation director. Kihachi Sakamoto is billed as a lead too, and Yousuke Mizoe and Seiroku Sakamoto appear alongside them.
