Alchemy here keeps a ledger. It will do almost anything for you, provided you hand over something worth exactly as much, and the one transaction it forbids outright is the transmutation of a human being. Edward and Alphonse Elric try it anyway. Edward comes away without his left leg, Alphonse without a body at all.
Edward and Alphonse are the leads, with Roy Mustang and Winry Rockbell among the supporting cast. Action and adventure set the pace, but the weight underneath is family drama, and the rules of the fantasy world are what keep tightening it. The English dub split its ADR direction between Mike McFarland and Caitlin Glass, with Justin Cook producing and John Burgmeier scripting the first three episodes; the show streams on Netflix, Crunchyroll, Amazon Prime Video and Hulu.
