Saga of Tanya the Evil II started airing on 8 July 2026, nine years after the first television season in 2017. NUT animates again, with director Yasushi Uemura and series composition by Kenta Ihara both returning. MYTH & ROID performs the opening, and Aoi Yuki, who voices Tanya, sings the ending.
Carlo Zenโs light novels are the source. A modern Japanese salaryman dies, is reborn by an entity calling itself God, and wakes up as Tanya Degurechaff, a girl in a world at war. The body is a child, the mind is a corporate careerist optimizing for promotion and efficiency, and that optimization keeps putting her at the sharp end of the front line. The mismatch is both the joke and the chill.
Season two moves to the eastern front and the Salamander Kampfgruppe. The battles keep the premise front and center: mages fly, and the choreography borrows from aerial dogfights and artillery duels rather than swordplay.
Twelve episodes makes it easy to start, even without the first season. Crunchyroll carries it internationally.
