A crush is supposed to be embarrassing, not structurally dangerous. Kuroe Akaishi lives with an unusual condition and one inconvenient rule: let her feelings run away from her and she balloons into a kaiju, which puts the plain school days she would prefer well out of reach. Then her heart settles on Arata Minami, the classmate everyone else is already looking at, which means every skipped heartbeat comes with a blast radius.
The television series started on 3 July 2026 and runs twelve episodes. LIDENFILMS is animating, Yuniko Ayana handles series composition, and the original work is by Spica Aoki. Read down the staff list and you hit a separate credit for monster design, filled by Hiroyuki Taiga. A romantic comedy that needs a monster designer on staff has already told you a great deal about its register. There is an English dub as well, directed by Caitlin Glass with Ben Phillips supervising the adaptation script.
Hiding what she feels is the same job as keeping her own body in check, so a private schoolgirl crush keeps escalating into something the whole neighbourhood can see. Comedy, romance and a supernatural layer sit on top of one another, and Crunchyroll carries the episodes as they air.
