Takehiko Inoue's Slam Dunk ran in Weekly Shonen Jump from 1990 to 1996 and has more than 185 million copies in print worldwide. The film The First Slam Dunk drew 4.88 million admissions in Korea, and in 2025 the manga got its first e-book edition in Japan, with a Korean e-book following.
