Ashitaka takes the road with a cursed arm: Studio Ghibli's Princess Mononoke

A Studio Ghibli feature released on July 12, 1997. A boar with something monstrous inside it attacks Ashitaka's village, his arm is marked in the fight, and his own people's tradition sends him out to look for a cure. Hayao Miyazaki wrote and directed, with San and Ashitaka in the lead.

A detour on moving day leads Chihiro Ogino's family into an amusement park with nobody in it, and one meal turns her parents into pigs. Studio Ghibli released the film on 20 July 2001, and Hayao Miyazaki wrote and directed it himself.
